Well, this week was intriguing as we begin to get a little separation. To my mind, we finally have two that are clearly above the rest. With USC' win, they hold their position as best in the Pac 10, but that might not be enough. Don't look now, but the second best team in the Pac 10 might just be heading to Pasadena.

1. Southern Cal (9-1)

USC continues their assault on the Pac 10 ever since their upset loss in Corvallis. they are doing their part to stay in position to go to the Rose Bowl should Oregon State lose to either Arizona or Oregon. Next week... BYE

2. Oregon State (7-3)

What can I say. OSU is going to Pasadena if they win out, and it appears to be possible. I'm going to hold off at putting them to the #1 slot until after the Civil War in a couple weeks. Next week... @ Arizona

3. Oregon (8-3)

Oregon at home proves that they are really tough. UA, on the road, once again proved they're not. Oregon keeps their hopes alive for a Holiday bowl birth, which is exactly where they could be heading if they can win out. Next Up... BYE

4. California (6-4)

Cal proved to be a game opponent on the road against Oregon State, but in the end, OSU proved that they belong with USC whereas California isn't quite in that league. Next up...Stanford

5. Arizona (6-4)

UA would be really good if they could win on the road, but in the end, they are an average team because they are tough at home and not so much on the road. Next up...Oregon State

6. Stanford (5-6)

Stanford still has a shot at going to a bowl, which is amazing when looking at the kind of team Stanford has had over the past years. Still, unless they can win a game or two on the road, they'll be sitting with all of us, watching the bowl season on TV. Next up...@ California.

7. Arizona State (4-6)

Two wins in a row, but I can't move them up at all because those wins were against Washington and Washington State. Hardly impressive. next up... BYE

8. UCLA (4-6)

Like ASU, it's hard to take much out of beating up on Washington. Until they get a real win, UCLA will need to get comfy right here at #8. next up... BYE

10. Washington ( 0-10) and Washington state (1-10)

Time for the pillow fight in the Palouse. for Wazzu... I guess they picked the wrong year to have 13 games. Oh well, just one more game for both teams and their players can return to their careers at Walmart. Next up... The Pillow fight in the Palouse.
