Well, another one bites the dust! This week saw a lot of predictable outcomes... the Washington school's getting crushed, Stanford continued to fail on the road, and UCLA can only play at home. We should have seen California losing this week at Arizona since they have played average at best on the road, and Arizona has been phenomenal at home. For those of you who predicted it, congratulations... I'm one of the morons that missed it.

So now, moving on, it's time to see where DM14 places the teams now, as if I am some authority of something. Still, here's my humble opinion of where they stand...

1. USC (5-1)

Coming off of a 69=0 shellacking of hapless Wazzu, is their any doubt? it looks as though USC has gotten past their single hick up they have every year, and have their eyes firmly planted on the BCS Championship game, yet again. Next up? @ Arizona

2. Oregon (5-2)

Last weeks bye not only game UO some rest, but it gave them a leg up when it comes to my power rankings. Watch out, Hey4hawks, Oregon is getting awfully close to the jinx! Next up? @ Arizona State.

3. Arizona (5-2)

After knocking off Cal last week, UA proved that they aren't the only team that plays average, at best on the road. Still, UA beating the previously #1 team was an accomplishment that i didn't see and one worthy of a significant jump in the rankings, in my book. Next up? Southern Cal.

4. California (4-2)

Losing to a strong UA team was bad, if you're the #1 power team ( in my opinion) for the PAC 10, but losing to them in Tucson isn't quite as bad since nobody can seem to win there. Still, they had to drop a few spots. for their lack luster effort. Next up? UCLA.

5. Oregon State (4-3)

Go figure that beating UW in Seattle would actually cause their rating to go down? My, oh my, how times have changed. Their drop in ranking was more due to UA's performance than Oregon State not playing well. My wife being an OSU grad and all, she's kind of pissed at me right now! Next up? Arizona State, in two weeks.

6. UCLA (3-4)

Tough one to call, but since UCLA beat Stanford head to head (even though is was a close game in Los Angeles), I've got to give them the nod. Next up? @ California

7. Stanford (4-4)

They lost to UCLA so I have to drop Stanford to #7. Too bad... this team is pretty good but they keep self destructing and can't win on the road... unless they play the Washington schools, that is. Next up? Washington State in two weeks.

8. Arizona State (2-4)

ASU didn't play this week so as it turns out, they stay at #8. Next up? Oregon.

9. Washington (0-6)

Yeah, I know... tough call. Still, Washington was one yard away from losing by "just" 14 points at home against Oregon State which was significantly better that their Eastern Washington counterpart. Next up? Notre Dame

10. Washington State (1-7)

They lost 69-0 to USC in Pullman... enough said. Next up? @ Stanford in two weeks.

Happy hunting!
