Well, Week four of the college football season is in the books, and with it, comes the week three College Fix Power rankings... Yes, since these are hardly official and just one man's humble opinion, we can call this the weekly installments of The World According to DM.

With that being said, what have we learned about the Pac 10 on the heels of last year's dominating performance, leading some to think the Pac 10 was the toughest all-around conference in 2007? I'll tell you what we've learned... The Pac 10 SUCKS!!!

Seriously, I haven't seen the pac 10 conference this weak in twenty years... so weak, matter of fact, that I am worried about the nations best team, USC, being snubbed because they are playing teams that can't beat UNLV, Boise State, TCU, New Mexico, and aren't competitive at home against teams like Georgia or Oklahoma.

Still, we press forward with this weeks Power Rankings (or lack thereof)..

1. Southern Cal (2-0)

What can I say, it's USC and everyone else. Hard to believe that after a BYE week, USC actually increased their lead over the rest of the Pac 10. Of course, having two bye weeks in the first four weeks of the season can help anyone prepare, but I harly think that is the reason for the discrepancy in level of play.
Game to Watch? @ Arizona (Oct 15th)

2. California (2-1)

Face it, the Pac 10 is so weak, two weeks ago Cal loses at Maryland, has to have an amazing comeback to make it close, has a bye week and they actually move up to #2 in the Pac 10? It's the world we now live in, folks.
Game to watch? Arizona State (October 4th)

3. Arizona (3-1)

If it weren't for the loss to New Mexico, UA would be higher on my list, but UCLA has proven to be pretty bad, despite their first week heroics, thus the 31-10 shallacking of the Bruins, in Los Angeles goes largely unnoticed. Still, UA has the beginnings of what could be a very nice season going.
Game to Watch? @ Oregon (November 15th)

4. Oregon (3-1)

Losing to Boise State wasn't that big of an issue, but losing to them at home, where BSU NEVER beats Pac 10 teams (on the road) is. To make matters worse, Oregon lost another QB, so look for them to drop more in the upcoming weeks. Still, I base my rankings on what has occurred, not on what is likely to occur.
Game to Watch? @ Arizona State (October 25th)

5. Oregon State (1-2)

A bye week and this team actually moved down a slot because of Arizona's great play. Unless OSU learns to pass, they will continue to drop.
Game to Watch? @ Washington (October 18th)

6. Arizona State (2-2)

I still can't drop ASU despite looking terrible against Georgia. After all, look who's below them in my rankings.
Game to Watch? @ Arizona (December 6th)

7. Stanford (2-2)

Stanford got back on the winnig track... good for them. But they had to come back in major fashion to beat San Jose State? They're lucky I didn't move them down in the rankings after that performance.
Game to watch? @ Notre Dame (October 4th)

8. Washington (0-3)

They haven't won yet, and most recently were hammered by Oklahoma, but now they are looking at a stretch of winnable games. because of this, and only because of this, I have giving them the benefit of the doubt... for now. Let's see if they beat Stanford on Saturday.
Game to watch? UCLA (November 15th)

9. Washington State (1-3)

Well, the good news is that they won a game. The bad news is that they beat Portland State? To add, they lost some of their best talent to injury. Any positive momentum they got from the game, they lost with the injuries to their first and second string QB's. This forces me to take a wait and see attitude. Still, they look better than UCLA. Who would have thunk it! :)
Game to watch? Washington (October 22nd)

10. UCLA (1-2)

Oh my, how the mighty have fallen. Just three weeks ago, I had them at #1, and now I have no choice but to have UCLA as the cellar dwellers after getting hammered AT home to Arizona, a marginal team with a history of playing poorly on the road. UCLA and Mr. Neuheisel have a lot of work to do to get out of the 9 or 10 slot.
Game to watch? Fresno State (September 22nd)
